WINCHESTER JOURNALISM is a messageboard and website produced by staff and students in the journalism department at the University of Winchester, UK. It is not an official publication of the University of Winchester, and the university accepts no responsibility for the contents of the site and no liability of any sort without limitation as a result of operation of the site.

This is a beta version of the site for developing and testing the use of new digital media for extension of existing teaching and course administration purposes.

The official and full version of all course document can be found on the University of Winchester's main website, categorised within the Learning Network section of the website.

Neither the University of Winchester or the staff and student creators of the Winchester Journalism site accept any responsibility or liability for the content of external sites and blogs to which the site refers and links, including blogs and websites created by current or previous students and staff, or group of students and staff.

PRIVACY POLICY

The Winchester Journalism site does not gather data, and no records or databases tracking user behaviour are created. No cookies are placed on computers used to access the Winchester Journalism site.

PARTICIPATION POLICY and MODERATION

Notices can and will be left on the message board by students, lecturers and others. These messages are not intended to be examples of journalistic writing. They are quickly written notes and comments and may or may not conform to the standards of accuracy in technical English required for published journalistic material. The content of the messageboard will be reviewed from time to time and content may be deleted at the complete discretion of the team who established and operated the site. Be aware when reading messages that they are not pre-moderated and liablity for the content remains with the author of each post, rather than the publisher of the site.
