WESTMINSTER JOURNALISMThis is a web page about politics and journalism in the UK, which is currently under development, produced by Chris Horrie. Westminster Journalism is my personal website and blog. It now has nothing to do with the University of Westminster in the North Western suburbs of London or its excellent journalism department, where they do very good conferences about the future of journalism and run MA Journalism courses and BA Journalism courses. Previously I designed and ran the MA Journalism course at Westminster where - with some really excellent students - we won a string of awards. I have now moved to the equally excellent journalism department at the University of Winchester - Winchester Journalism - where we are developing a range of new courses and also starting to sponsor various types of research into journalism and the mass media. Over the next few months I will be using this site to develop some activities to do with broadcast journalism and magazine journalism and looking at journalism courses and training bodies such as the Broadcast Journalism Training Council. These activities will not be connected to either university. After the crisis of 2009 this will include a lot of work about political journalism in the UK and in the UK legislature - hence Westminster Journalism. Please do bookmark this site and come back frequently. |
